Places to Experience

Calvert Library is Calvert County’s system of four public library locations and a Mobile Services unit that includes a Bookmobile and SUV. Our mission is to serve as a gateway to information, imagination and inspiration. We empower individuals by facilitating lifelong-learning and by strengthening our community by providing opportunities for connection to one another and the world.

Calvert Library provides the following about Black, Indigenous, and Other People of Color communities and individuals:

  • Fiction and non-fiction materials (books, movies, magazines, digital resources, and other materials)
  • Events and workshops that feature local history and resources
  • Initiated projects to collect local history for our Black community
  • Research and genealogy resources
