Oral Histories: SlackWater Oral History Archive

 

Founded in 1998, the SlackWater oral history project at St. Mary’s College of Maryland has been dedicated to the collection of local narratives for over 20 years. Contributors speak of their life in the region, including experiences of growing up during Jim Crow. The archive is available in both digital and physical form.
