Chesapeake Beach Railway exhibit shares the story through artifacts and historic documents about the development of land that had been tobacco farms at one time to incorporated towns. The railroad, along with steamboats, transported visitors to the Beaches for vacation and recreation. Early Ads talk about ‘get out of the city’, fresh milk, no doctors needed depicting the beaches as a healthy and fun place to visit. Original trolley track, lanterns, china, tickets are featured.
